"This stinks like poop, but let's get it over with"
~ Jack O'Brien Burke (in response to his recent round of MRI tests in DC)
At only 6 years old, Jack Burke is my youngest friend. He is the nephew of one of my best friends. He has a disease called Neurofibromotosis (NF) and its' cure is not yet known. He is a fighter, a pint sized hero and a force to be reckoned with. And he is the reason I am running another marathon to raise money for the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF) to help find a cure for NF. If Jack can live with and continue to fight this terrible disease, than I can run another 26.2 miles in his honor.
If you are here reading this, you either know me or my friend, Jack Burke, and in either case, we are very happy that you decided to check out this fundrasing page and my run for a cause.
In October, I will be running the Chicago Marathon as part of the NF Endurance Team in an effort to raise money to find a cure for NF. If you do not know about NF, I encourage you to check out the Children's Tumor Foundation website www.ctf.org to learn about the disease or also go to Jack's page, www.curenfwithjack.com. This genetic disorder is unforgiving and we need to find a cure to fight it.

I am asking for your help and support in my race to find a cure for NF. I hope you see the same importance in this cause as I do and pledge to find a cure with me and Jack. Whether you donate $1 or $1000, every penny will go to finding a cure for this disease.
A 26.2 mile foot race is a very small distance compared to the journey that Jack Burke will have to face throughout the rest of his life. Your donation may be the next funding for a new cure. And it will definitely be encouragement to Jack and other children with NF that there is hope - there is work being done on their behalf to fight the fight with them. I am inspired and encouraged by Jack and I hope you are too!

Thanks in advance for your support!
