Swim Across America, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through a variety of high profile, swim-related events. Swim Across America is celebrating its 21st anniversary, growing from a single event in 1987 in Nantucket, Mass., to 10 events in five major metropolitan areas, raising $16 million to date for cancer research, awareness, prevention and treatment. The events unite recreational swimmers, competitive swimmers, master swimmers, Olympians, kayakers, boaters, and hundreds of volunteers all committed to finding a cure. According to Swim Across America, close to 2,500 swimmers participate every year, ranging in age from seven to 78.

NESCAC - New England Small College Athletic Conference – Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Connecticut College, Hamilton, Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan, Williams.

Any student, alumni, or anyone who wants to swim in any SAA event across the country will have their contributions/donations aggregate towards NESCAC team as a whole but still be able to track their contributions individually or to their college team if they wish.

There isn't anyone out there who can't think of a loved one who has been affected by cancer, and swimming-related or not, any effort that fights against this horrible disease is a noble one." Swim Across America's events allows NESCAC teams to participate together towards one common goal, which is one of the things that the NESCAC stands for. While there is an atmosphere of competition present, the focus of fundraising makes the competition fun.

Our beneficiaries are the David Perini Quality of Life Clinic at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT) in Connecticut, the Cancer Support Team of Westchester, the Tommy Palazzo Fellowship for Oncology Pediatric Cancer Research of New York-Presbyterian Children's Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center, the Swim Across America Research Laboratory and the DeMatteo Research Laboratory, both at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the UCSF Children's Hospital Survivorship Clinic, in San Francisco.

Become a part of Swim Across America history and help us make waves to fight cancer. We welcome your contributions and thank you in joining us in this fight.
