Thank you for visiting my page. You know by now that I have been nominated as a candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year 2008 campaign.
As a candidate, I am working to raise at least $150,000 between April 10 – June 10 to help find a cure for blood-related cancers and to improve the quality of life of those currently fighting this disease.
Life is unpredictable. Many times we find that wonderful things come our way quite unexpectedly. Then there are times when we are faced with difficulties, struggles and sometimes tragedies that seem unexplainable and difficult to accept. Receiving the news that you or a loved one have been diagnosed with a blood related cancer such as Leukemia, Lymphoma or Myeloma is something that no one wants to hear. That is why I am working hard to raise funds to find a cure. Two special heroes in my life that have inspired me to fight for this cause are Edie Collins and Matt Hall.
Both Edie and Matt are heroes who fought valiantly, but Leukemia took their lives. There are many other heroes who are currently fighting blood cancers. For them to win their fight they need fellow heroes like you and me to support them in their battle.
I’m asking you to be a hero and join me in this fight. Help me reach my $150,000 goal.
