| Welcome, friends.
The people of Texas are world renowned for their friendliness, hospitality, and generosity. The Texas Surfing Community is an extension of that sharing and giving spirit. We come together as one people when we gather for fellowship and we really go all out when we have a brother or sister of the surf in need.
Also, the brotherhood of surfing goes beyond the Texas Borders. We are all bonded by our love for the ocean. We welcome you all to participate.
It is time to once again come together for our friend Nathan “Nate” Lytle.
This young man lives a life for Christ and he really is a shining role model for our youth.
Nathan suffered a traumatic brain injury resulting from fall. He is on his way to recovery but will likely have a challenge ahead of him in the weeks and months to come.
First, we would like to thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers past and those in the days to come. We appreciate your Faith in the Lord’s healing powers and we know the thoughts and prayers make a difference.
Second, it is time for us to make some sacrifice in the name of God and Nathan. Think about our daily expenditures… What can you do without in the times to come? It could be a night out at a restaurant… or a tank of gas saved by sharing a ride to the beach… or a week’s abstinence from your Starbuck’s fix. Nate, his family, and the man upstairs will appreciate what ever it is that you decide to give in sacrifice to this cause. Every little bit counts- it is not what you give it is that you give something.
Say a prayer, meditate, or just close your eyes and think about our buddy and how fortunate we all are to be here and to be able to share in this time together in spirit.
Please also consider this a capital campaign and if you can commit to giving a donation every two weeks, every month, every two months, or whatever you are able to give we can help more with a sustained commitment to this cause. It may be easier for some of us to give a little at a time but those smaller amounts can add up to a substantial gift over time.
Active.com will mail Nate’s Recovery Fund a check every two weeks for the two week’s prior donations. Should you be hesitant to use the Internet for donations you can mail a check direct to:
