| What happens on the Race Course in Vegas stays in Vegas or does it? |

Dear Friends and Family,
In the fall 2010 after 4 hospital stays and getting my gallbladder out I was diagnosed with Crohn’s. They said it was true, without a doubt.
I changed the way I ate and started taking meds. I was not going to take this laying down in bed. I got up and started to fight. I’m taking control of my disease. That is my right.
I’m managing my disease day in and day out, but There is no cure and that makes me want to shout. Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis, known together as Inflammatory Bowel disease, affects over 1.4 million people worldwide. It doesn’t discriminate or pick sides.
It picks people like my 8-year-old friend Mo. Who has been dealing with Ulcerative Colitis, basically since he was born. There is no cure, not one yet, but I’m doing everything to change that you can bet.
Last spring I joined Team Challenge, fundraised and in July ran a race. I’m doing it all to give Crohn’s and Colitis a face.
I’m learning a lot about my disease I’m even having some fun and over 80 cents per dollar goes to getting the job done.
Team Challenge is part of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation They have funded more than 1100 grants through out this nation. They care about research and finding a cure That’s why they have donated more than 127 million dollars I’m sure.
This time I am doing it on my own, but I’m still fundraising to help people feel whole. I’m running a race in Vegas this time. Running 13.1 miles for a cause is just fine.
I’ll run on the strip at night looking at all the lights, knowing that I’m making a difference and knowing that someday I’ll be all right.
I’m very proud to be part of this show. Raising 3900 dollars is my goal. I’ve already raised 3009, so I’ve only 891 to go, I know I’ll get it in time.
My personal goal is to do it by November thirty Open up your wallet and donate today I promise it won’t hurty.
I will be running for my friend Mo. I will also be running for those who cannot go. Most importantly I will run just for me. To prove to myself I am BIGGER than this disease.
I will be running in my TEAM CHALLENGE jersey each step of the way. I will make a difference come race day. What happens in Vegas usually stays there, but this time that’s different because what I’m doing in Vegas is for a cure.
