| I am running to raise awareness for Crohn's disease. I am raising money for Crohn's disease because I think it is important to the people who have Crohn's disease. Crohn's is a disease that affects your digestive system. It can give you ulcers all through your intestines and cause painful joints. Nobody knows what causes Crohn's disease. Crohn's disease can be debilitating to those who have it. It causes pain and cramping, some people have to undergo many surgeries.
I myself have Crohn's disease. I was born with chronic constipation. I have been going to see GI doctors since I was born.
Right now I am undergoing treatment that seems to have helped me tremendously.
My aunt and I have accepted the challenge to run in the 1/2 marathon for Crohn’s and Colitis. I will be raising money that will help people who have this disease and in addition some of this money will go towards research. My goal is to raise $4400.00 by July 19th.
