Challenge Yourself to Change a Life!
Mark Frey's Fundraising Page
UPDATE: I've made my initial goal of $4000 with 2 weeks to spare; thanks everyone! I'm going to see if I can raise another $1000 for the cause, so I've reset the goal to $5k.

Hello, and thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the 2008 Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon to benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (www.ccfa.org). Through research, education, and support programs, the CCFA is pursuing an important mission: To cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.

I'm doing this fundraiser in honor of my friend and colleague, Karen Edelblum. Karen just completed her Ph.D. in Cell Biology at Vanderbilt University, six years after barely surviving a massive flareup of her Crohn's disease. We both work in the Pediatric Gastroenterology division at Vanderbilt, studying the mechanisms driving inflammatory diseases of the gut in hopes of finding a cure.

Thanks for visiting, and please donate what you can for this worthy cause!
