| CCFA Mission: To cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
Our mission: to help bring awareness and raise funds for research to find a cure for Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis.
In Aug 2007, after years of stomach problems, my 13yr old daughter was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. It is very heart breaking when you hear a doctor tell you child she has a disease that has no cure and can only be controlled (at times) with numerous medication. On July 20, 2008, myself and others will participate in the Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon in the hope of bring attention to these diseases. Over the years huge advancement s have been made in research and our understanding of these diseases has improved dramatically. It is my hope that through our actions and your support that those advancement will continue to the point that they are able to develop a cure. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and I would like to thank you in advance for your generosity.
