Dear Friends and Family:
I have recently become involved in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year campaign and I hope that you will join me in supporting a wonderful cause.
Over 100,000 Americans, adults and children, are diagnosed each year with leukemia or one of its related cancers (lymphoma, Hodgkin’s and myeloma). More than 50,000 people in this country die every year from these illnesses.
I am fortunate enough to have a volunteer committee of friends who are working with me to win this campaign and help in the battle against these terrible diseases. Our goal is to make a difference along with the many other people involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (L&LS). Please support us in this campaign by making a fully tax deductible donation to L&LS, which was rated by Money magazine as one of the top ten charities for having a high percentage (75%) of funds raised go directly to research and patient services. The dollars you contribute will help bring families closer to realizing recoveries for their loved ones who are affected by these life threatening diseases.
$100 will fund one researcher for a day
$500 donation will test seven people as potential bone marrow donors
$1000 will provide ten children with a one-month supply of medication
