Our goal is to support Patients affected by Disabilities and their Families. Therefore we will support Disabled Athletes through our Primary Local Beneficiaries the Colorado Adaptive Sports Foundation & Colorado Sled Hockey Association. In addition, our Additional Local Beneficiaries will be the Dawg Nation Hockey Foundation.

The Colorado Adaptive Sports Foundation offers youth and adults with physical disabilities like spinal cord injuries, spina-bifida, amputees, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, polio, etc, the opportunity to participate in organized team sports while fostering independence, sportsmanship, self-confidence, discipline, teamwork, and enhancing quality of life. The Colorado Adaptive Sports Foundation currently manages Adaptive Team Sports in Colorado. These teams include Sled Hockey, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Softball, Wheelchair Lacrosse, Wheelchair Curling and Power Soccer. By providing these management services to the teams, the coaching staff and players can concentrate their efforts on playing the sport rather than administering the daily activities. For more information about the Colorado Adaptive Sports Foundation and the programs we offer, please visit www.coloradoadaptivesports.org.

The Colorado Sled Hockey Association is one of the largest sled hockey programs in the country. Sled Hockey is a sport played by people with physical disabilities including spinal cord injuries, amputations, spin-bifida, etc. Utilizing “sleds” with hockey skates and sticks with metal picks on one end, players can propel themselves down the ice with grace and speed. Played almost exactly like stand-up hockey, sled hockey is a unique way for people with physical disabilities to get out of the wheelchairs or prosthetics and experience what is widely known as the ultimate team sport. More than just learning hockey, participants develop lifelong friends with those they play with and learn valuable life-skills that will prove to enhance their lives moving forward. Sled Hockey, "The Most Exhilarating Out of Chair Experience”, started in 1995, and the program now includes 3 Adult teams and 1 Youth team. The Adult A Division Team are back-to-back National Champions and the Youth Team also won the National Championship this past Season. The other Adult Teams are in the B Division plus there is a Disabled Veterans Team based out of Colorado Springs/Monument, both of which compete in the Western Sled Hockey League. Recently, Event Donations through Foothills Event Management, LLC sent 4 Colorado Sled Hockey Athletes to the National Training Camp in Michigan and 2 of those Athletes made the US Sled Hockey Team that won the Gold Medal in Sochi, Russia in 2014. For more information about the Colorado Sled Hockey Association, please visit www.coloradosledhockey.org.

The Dawg Nation Hockey Foundation is committed to serving the local hockey community and exists solely to aid those that have suffered financial hardship due to injury or illness. Members are dedicated to promoting the spirit of fellowship by supporting players and player’s families in high standards of health, wellness, and fair play in recreational hockey competitions while supporting league and team players in local community outreach. They specifically identify individuals and families in need, and strive to provide relief through difficult times. Started in 2011, Dawg Nation has generated over $1,000,000 in proceeds but more importantly has aided over 50 hockey families across the Rocky Mountain Region. From the weekend warrior needing assistance to pay his or her medical bills all the way to grieving families that have lost a loved one. Dawg Nation is not just there to help financially, but also physically, mentally and even spiritually. For more information about Dawg Nation Hockey Foundation, please visit www.dawgnation.org.

All Team Tournament Fees, Event Donations (Direct, Match, Online, Silent Auction, Drawings) and additional Revenue go directly toward covering Event Expenses and to help each of our grateful Beneficiaries.
