| I've been nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign and am very excited about this honor. I truly feel this is my opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people affected by leukemia, lymphoma and blood cancers throughout our community.
Please support me by making a contribution to my fundraising campaign. I am raising money in honor six-year-old Colton Friendshuh and seven-year-old Brooke Metcalf. Both children, in remission, are representative of the many whose lives are challenged by blood cancer. I have listed contribution levels below; however, all donations are greatly appreciated. Your donation is tax deductible and will support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society programs, including research, patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services. With your help, I truly hope to make blood cancers a thing of the past.
What drives me to challenge myself and others year after year to raise life-saving funds? Perhaps it’s because so many friends and family members have been stricken prematurely with cancer of all types. At the heart of things, members of this race called Human have an obligation to help others reduce their pain and their suffering. There are so many people suffering with the pain of cancers and other life-threatening diseases of all sorts. We need to provide effective treatment for those diagnosed with these diseases, as well as hope for a better, more comfortable life for them, their family and their circle of friends.
