| On February 15, 2009, our friend and colleague, David Lapoff passed at the age of 48. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Cindy and a large, loving family. David was a 1984 graduate of Cornell University with a Master's in Electrical Engineering. After 15 years as a brilliant design engineer, David turned his skills to the field of personal fitness and discovered his true calling - helping people meet their own health and fitness goals. He was selfless and dedicated to the health and well being of his clients and class members.
************************************************* Donations to the Train for Treatment program are being accepted in David's memory and can be made on this page or by contacting the Center at 585-922-5700 ************************************************* David and Cindy were a driving force in the creation and growth of the Finger Lakes Triathlon, which has become the Center's biggest and more important fundraising event. David played a major role, volunteering each year. Whether he was directing pre-dawn traffic, managing the transition area, supporting athletes on race day or hosting packet pickup, he worked long and hard, was a role model for those around him and never asked for recognition. His passing leaves a void in the race he was passionate about and in our hearts. Thank you for keeping his dream alive by supporting this program which benefits patients of the Center.
