| The Miracle Brigades run in Cincinnati, Athens and other cites across the county are the inspiration of Tom Starr, a two-time liver transplant recipient and founder of Miracles for Life.
Miracle for Life is dedicated to honoring the kindness of organ, tissue and blood donors and the courage of transplant recipients and thier families.
Each bridgade member is a walking billboard for organ donor awarneness and a fundraiser walking on behalf of an organ donor and transplant recipient families.
Each brigade member ask their friends and family to pledge a few dollars for every mile or kilometer they walk or run. Their sea of bright green BE A HERO shirts signal that spring and new life is renewed when we pass along out gifs of life by registering to be a blood, tissue or organ donors. It begins with you!
All proceeds will be used to send transplant recipients to the first Educational Post-transplants Intervention Camp (EPIC).
This camp hosts an organ transplant family of four to the new Miracles for Life educational camp for transplant recipients. This is the first facility in the nation designed to address the emotional, financial, physical and spiritual needs of the more than 400,000 organ transplant recipients in the United States. |
