Mike and Kasey's Race for ARF Fundraising Page
Racing to help dogs find their forever homes and live happy, healthy lives
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Mike and I adopted our yellow lab Nika from Animal Rescue of Fresno (http://www.arf-fresno.com/) last month and she has brought joy and happiness to our lives ever since. To make our first marathon together even more meaningful we decided to raise money for this wonderful organization in order to help more dogs find their forever homes and live the long, happy lives they deserve. Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) was established in 1998 by a group of community members in Fresno, CA that wanted to do something about the high number of homeless dogs that were dying because no one gave them a chance to find their forever home. The mission of Animal Rescue of Fresno is to eliminate suffering and promote the welfare of dogs through direct action and education. ARF is committed to encouraging the humane treatment of all animals, reducing the number of homeless animals in Fresno County, promoting the benefits of the human/animal bond, and supporting spaying/neutering of all animals. As a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that receives no government funding, ARF relies entirely on the support of friends in the community to sustain its operations and programs. Please help us to raise money for ARF so more dogs and families can be brought together. Our goal is to raise $1,000 by March 21, 2010 when we run the L.A. Marathon. Your donation of any amount will go a long way to help a dog in need. Mike, Nika and I thank you for your generosity.
