| Throughout the 34 year history of Metro CareRing, the faces of poverty have remained the same. Individuals and families come through the doors needing help to meet their most basic human needs...food to feed their bodies, their children, their families. They are met by dedicated volunteers who provide a listening ear and suggestions on other short-term solutions to their current situations. Unfortunately, food alone does not eliminate poverty. Metro CareRing joins with other faith-based organizations to educate and mobilize the community to affect long-term solutions to hunger, poverty and homelessness. |
