This event is to remember Merrill King who lost her battle to cancer February 22, 2010, a few days shy of her 16th birthday. Merrill was diagnosed April 15th, 2004 with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. She underwent several rounds of chemo, a bone marrow transplant, and many days in the hospital to rid her of her leukemia. However, in 2008 Merrill relapsed and complications from her disease took her life. We hope to honor and remember Merrill with Merrill King’s Fit 4 Fall 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. We are so excited to partner with the Roswell Recreation and Parks Department and the Roswell Soccer Club with this race. Merrill was very active with Roswell Santos Soccer Teams for many years.
