| 2012 will be our team’s 10th year. Our team name is the Meridians and our colors are royal blue and white. (meridian = the highest point or stage of development; peak, a zenith) We have competed in the the 18+ Cincinnati Recreation Commission’s (CRC) Men’s Major Division (2002 - 2008, 2011~) and NKABL (2009~). The founding core of our team formed from two other teams in the CRC league as we saw the chance to improve our collective competitiveness.
We are an upper tier team with a 126-77 overall record. We love the game and love to teach the game. Our roster consists of kids right out of high school, a few in their college summers through to those that are still too good to just play softball. Most importantly, we’re made up of those that love and respect the game of baseball.
I primarily finance the team mainly from each of the player’s individual contributions at the beginning (league fees) and throughout the summer (tournaments, jerseys for the rookies…).
Obviously I’m here to ask for your help so ultimately you decide what and where any funds go, If it’s $50, thank you very much and we look forward to having you associated with our winning program. If it’s more, we would be overwhelmed with your generosity. If it’s for the entire amount, I’m pretty sure I could organize a parade in your honor.
Speaking of, we are indeed interested in a partnership here – not just a generous gift. We are willing to be of service for any special events and/or advertising for your organization in return for your support. The entire team is in the Greater Cincinnati area and can be organized for a scheduled function to help you run or promote any of your events.
