In one of my classes at West Chester University of Pennsylvania I had the opportunity with my classmates to plan an event, and Bowling for Hannah came about, which was a bowling event at The Palace Bowling center in Downingtown, PA on Decemeber 6, 2008 to fundraise for The Nephcure Foundation. From there I became an intern with the Nephcure Foundation, which is the only organization solely committed to seeking a cause and a cure for two devastating kidney diseases, nephrotic syndrome and FSGS. Now I have even more of an opportunity to be a part of the fundraising efforts for 1)a family that I have come to love as my own and 2)for an organization that needs and sincerely appreciates any fundraising efforts at all.

On April 26, 2009 I am going to participate in the Central Park Women's 1/2 Marathon to honor The Nephcure Foundation and for all of those like Hannah who suffer from FSGS or Nephrotic Syndrome. But on April 26th I will not be alone when I run. I need all the help I can get, and I hope on that day I will be able to put one foot in front of the other because of the push that I get from you, my supporters.

If you would like to support me in my first ever half marathon run please also don't forget the underlying reason for my choice in taking these steps: the need for more money to spill into the research centers that will help thousands like Hannah, live a normal life.

Anyone who has ever dreamed of doing a half marathon on behalf of a worthy cause such as mine, do not hesitate to join me in my efforts, either through joining me on the run or by extending my link to your family members and friends!
