| I have been nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man of the Year Competition. This is my opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people affected by leukemia, lymphoma and blood cancers throughout our community.
I ask that you join me by making a contribution to my fundraising campaign. Each dollar I raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most donations is named the local Man or Woman of the Year. I am raising money in honor of a local patient and truly hope to make their battle with blood cancers a thing of the past.

As most of you already know, as an added incentive to donate, I grew a beard and allowed contributors to vote for a beard style that I would be forced to wear for one week starting on April 1st. The beard style was chosen. With $300 raised, the amish beard took top honors! I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted because I don't think that style will be back in fashion anytime soon.
