| If you listen to the nightly news or read the newspaper, you cannot help but be aware of the growing epidemic of obesity and its relationship to poor health. The rate of obesity in children and adults has increased 2 to 3 times in the last twenty years. In Ohio, the rate of obesity has doubled since 1990, 13.9% of highschool students are overweight which ranks 4th highest in the nation, and 11.1% of low income children 2 to 5 years of age are overweight, ranking 33rd highest in the nation.
Custom Design Fitness Studio, LLC along with May the World Dance Inc. has provided services for nearly fourteen (14) years in Muskingham County to children and adults with obesity risk factors and disease(s) that will result in physical limitations and life threatening conditions. Specialized care and guidance is provided through educational diet, individualized exercise and/or rehabilitation programs for low to moderate income families. |
