Please consider this time-sensitive
opportunity to double the value of your donation and help
the Society find cures for blood cancers.
We recently received a generous
challenge grant from a local Bay Area family foundation. The foundation will match any new gift, dollar for dollar, up to $250,000 this year and $250,000 next year.
The grant will help
researchers at Stanford University
develop a novel vaccine therapy that targets blood cancer cells without harming healthy cells. This new technology could impact the way many other cancers are treated as well.
In fact, Society-funded researchers
have helped pioneer some of the most significant advances in treating
blood cancers including chemotherapy, radiation therapy and bone marrow and stem cell transplantation.
Again, the deadline to raise the
first $250,000 is Dec.
31, 2007. Any new gift you make before Dec. 31 is
tax deductible in this calendar year and will be doubled!
