| Welcome to Marathon ROCKS, a charity marathon training program benefiting Easton ROCKS After School, Inc. Easton ROCKS is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides elementary and middle school students in Easton, MD, with fun, safe, and affordable before- and after-school programs that enrich their academics, improve their physical fitness, increase their access to the arts, and open opportunities for them to try new hobbies or indulge existing loves.
Easton ROCKS targets the entire K–8 student body of Easton’s Title I schools, regardless of academic or socioeconomic standing. Our deliberate policy to extend programs to each and every student helps to foster a sense of friendship, community, and inclusiveness that may not otherwise exist.
ROCKS programs keep kids supervised and productive after school, giving our local families peace of mind and helping to reduce juvenile crime statistics; gang activity; and pre-adolescent alcohol, drug, and sexual experimentation in our community. Marathon ROCKS participants are parents, teachers, and other members of the wider community with varying fitness levels, but all have the determination, courage, and dedication to take on the marathon challenge for our kids! Each runner and walker is committed to raising $1,000, so please give as generously as you are able to help Easton ROCKS sustain these valuable and highly sought-after programs.
