Hi and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.On December 5th 2010, I am participating in my very 1st half marathon by taking part in Team Challenge. I will be run/walking 13.1 miles, benefiting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Every couple years I create a list of 101 things I’d like to accomplish in 1001 days. Participating in a charity walk/run was on my list so when I received the flyer for Team Challenge, I knew it was time. My husband is participating as well, so this is truly a team effort.

Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are referred to as inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD and currently there is NO cure. I'm asking you to please help me raise funds to find a cure for these chronic and often debilitating digestive diseases that impacts an estimated 1.4 million Americans. A minimum of 80 cents of each dollar you donate goes directly towards research and patient support.

Recently, I've learned that a good family friend has an 8yr old grandson, Micheal, who also has ulcerative colitis. This gives team challenge a whole new meaning for me.
