I am so excited to be training for the Las Vegas Rock and Roll Half Marathon! Between now and December I will be raising funds and awareness for research leading to improved treatment options and a cure for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases that cause inflammation of the digestive or gastrointestinal (GI) tract.
I am thrilled to be running in honor of Nick Marion who was recently diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Nick's family lives in the neighborhood where I grew up and has been a part of my life for many years. I taught Nick how to swim when he was young and I'll never forget how proud I was of him the day he showed his mom that he could swim the width of the pool. Now it's my turn...I'm ready to make Nick proud! I'm up for the challenge to help raise money and awareness for kids like Nick. I can't wait to put on my Team Challenge shirt with Nick's name on it when I head out for 13.1 miles in Las Vegas this December!
All donations are in support of The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. A minimum of 82 cents per dollar raised by CCFA goes directly to research and patient support, and your contribution is tax deductible. If your company matches charitable contributions, please include matching forms with your donation.
