| I am a cancer survivor, wife, mother, sister, daughter - and if I can do this, anyone can!
What makes this race so personal for me? Well, my life has been touched by either Crohn's or Colitis for as long as I can remember.
My dad was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was very young. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2003. My youngest sister had been suffering from Crohn's for 3 or 4 years prior to my diagnosis.
I'm very fortunate that I'm currently in remission, but my sister gets a Remicade treatment every 6 weeks.
This race is for my "baby" sister Melissa and my sister Amber as well as my boys and my nieces and nephews. |
