Join or Support Us and Make a Difference in the Life of Child with Leukemia!
Dear Listener,
You've heard about it ... now its time to take action! Sandy and I are asking you to take the first step and join or support our Walk efforts. Together, we can make a difference in the life of a child with blood cancer.
The Metro Detroit Light The Night Walk on Friday, October 3 is all about paying tribute and celebrating the power to overcome debilitating diseases like blood cancer. We want you to meet 9-year-old Sarah.
Sarah was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 5. Today, Sarah is a happy, healthy fourth grader and we are proud to say The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is part of the reason why she is alive today. Sandy and I believe deeply in this cause and our listeners should understand why.
Did you know ...
Every five minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer.
Sadly, every nine minutes, someone with blood cancer dies.
Leukemia causes more deaths among children than any other cancer.
The mission is compelling. The goal is simple ... raise enough money to support research to find a cure. You can be a part of this heart-warming, feel-good event by either supporting the V-98 walk team with your tax-deductible gift or by coming October 3 at 6 p.m. to Memorial Park in Royal Oak to walk. And finally, for every dollar you donate, your gift will be matched up to $7500!
Until there is a cure ... The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is there to help.
