We walk in honor of our affiliate team heroes and all patients battling blood cancer, survivors, and in memory of those who have passed away.
Research is critically needed: - Every 5 minutes, another person is diagnosed with blood cancer.
- Another person will lose their fight by the time you finish reading this page.
- Leukemia is the leading cause of disease-related death among children under age 15.
- Approximately 3,000 children die from a blood cancer every year.
There is so much we still need to learn. Research is the key. And research takes money.
Please make a donation to support my Light The Night walk! No donation is too small – or large! All donations are tax deductible. Email me to donate by check. Checks can be written out to "The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society".
In recognition for reaching our fundraising goals, a pediatric research grant bestowed by The Society will be denoted in honor of the the team and the children fighting blood cancers. See our grant naming press release.
Friends of Heroes hopes to raise $150,000 dollars in 2008 so that other beautiful children and families don’t have to lose someone they love to cancer. Please help us support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to work towards eradicating this horrible disease!
