Your support means a lot…to me and to thousands of others.

Thanks for visiting my Light The Night homepage in honor of my brave son, Connor Riggs. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of patients battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.

A little history, Connor was diagnosed with leukemia in early 2004, and in August 2006, he finished his 2 1/2 year active treatment for his illness. He still makes monthly visits to his doctor and his health is excellent. His battle will continue for a few more years before we can say that he is truly cured. His life becomes more normal everyday and I am happy to report that he will become a second grader this fall.

I want to thank you in advance for visiting this site and helping to find a cure for these diseases. Connor's life and the lives of future patients will be enhanced by your generosity.

  • Every five minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every 10 minutes, someone dies.
  • Leukemia causes more deaths among children than any other cancer.
  • Nearly 20,000 Americans died from lymphoma in 2007.
  • The survival rate for myeloma is just 34 percent.

Please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress, and thanks for your support!
