Welcome to my Light The Night Walk homepage. I am walking in honor of my niece, CAMERON DIAMOND, 7 years old. A SURVIVOR! Cami was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 6 weeks old and given less than a 10% chance of survival. She underwent a battery of excruciating tests and treatments during her first year of life with a bone marrow transplant at 6 months old. Shortly after celebrating 5 years cancer free, she was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease. She also battles Type 2 diabetes, persistent pneumonia, and hietal hernia. Her story humbles me. Her spirit inspires me. I wish you could hear her laugh. In spite of her daily health challenges, I am happy to report that she started 1st Grade this week with her new pink tote bag and oxygen tank in tow.
