| Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My 4 yr old niece, Lauren, has been diagnosed with a little known and potentially serious disease, Childhood Nephrotic Syndrome. This disease can lead to kidney failure in as little as 2 years. Equally terrifying is that transplants for those with Nephrotic Syndrome have generally less than a 50% success rate as the disease can continue to attack the new kidney. ===
Lauren is my favorite little person in the world and in Los Angeles, on November 15th, I will be walking with my family and friends to raise funds and awareness for the NephCure Foundation. I love this girl more than anything and hate to see her suffering through this. ===
As you might imagine, this has been extremely difficult on her parents, and all of us that love her. We pray for her as she's been in and out of remission several times now . She's also on several different medications, including steroids that, among other things, stop her growth. She is a bright, loving, beautiful girl with her whole life ahead of her. I ask that you please donate whatever you can so that research can be done to find a cure. Nobody should have to go through this. ===
