Welcome to our Leukemia Cup Regatta fundraising page! The San Francisco Vanguard 15 Fleet is the most active, competitive, and fun racing on the Bay. We sail year round with an emphasis on the Thursday night V15 & laser class series. With more than 50 boats, our fleet consists of former Olympians, collegiate All-Americans, America Cup veterans, up & coming area sailors, and those new to the sport. There is always room for one more boat in the fleet – please join us.
Our host facility, the Treasure Island Sailing Center (TISC) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to improve our community and the sport of sailing by providing access, facilities, and sailing instruction to people of all socioeconomic backgrounds, skill levels, and physical abilities.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. The Leukemia Cup Regatta is hosted annually at nearly 50 yacht club and sailing centers nationally. In 2005 alone, $3.2 million was raised on the LCR circuit and $20 million has been raised since the first Leukemia Cup Regatta in 1993.
Members of the V15 Fleet will be participating in various keelboat divisions on September 9th in honor of Campbell Nolan, Gary Jobson, Mark Rudiger, Bob Sessions, and more than 700,000 Americans who are battling blood cancers.
Please make a donation to support our participation in the Leukemia Cup Regatta. 25% of your tax-deductible contribution will be generously matched making every dollar even more important.
A sincere thank you for your support!
