| Welcome to my Leukemia Cup Regatta home page. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health
organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
I'm participating in the Regatta in honor of my Uncle Jack, my friend Howard and more than 712,000 Americans who are battling blood cancers. These people are the
real heroes and we need your support to help accelerate cures and provide hope and support for patients and their families.
Did you know that:
- Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every ten minutes, someone dies. It is difficult to find someone that hasn't been affected by this disease, whether directly or through a loved one.
- Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young people under age 20.
- Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers.
- The myeloma survival rate is only 32 percent.
Please make a donation to support my participation in the Leukemia Cup Regatta . By doing so, we’ll both be helping save
lives. I hope you'll visit my Web site often to check in and see how my fundraising is going.
Thanks for your support! |
