The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with the 1st Annual Walk For Wishes®, presented by Mattel, Inc. This walk, approximately 2 miles, will gather together kids, families, student groups, and sponsors to help create memorable wishes for children living with life-threatening medical conditions here in Los Angeles County. EVENT DETAILS: When: Saturday, June 7, 2008. Check-in at 9:30a.m. Walk Begins at 10a.m. Where: Pepperdine University, Stotsenberg Track How: Register for $25 (per person) and then commit to raising an additional $75 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. The first 250 people to sign up will get a commemorative Walk For Wishes t-shirt! Who: Kids, families, student groups, anyone who wants to make a difference! Children under age 5 must participate with a registered adult.

Register as an individual, or as part of a team of 4 people or more!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CREATING A TEAM: After you create your team, you will see a NOTE that says "Click here if you have not yet registered for this event and joined your own team" - you MUST click on this and register in order to be an official participant. Your registration fee will be processed during this registration, not during your creation of the team page. Also, please make sure every team member signs up individually as part of your team. Post-walk celebration activities include food, music, face painting, photos with Barbie^®, racing Hot Wheels^® down a large 10-lane track, Guitar Hero, inflatables, more!

If you raise $2,500, you can be assigned a specific child whose wish you can help make come true!

There will be PRIZES for the top fundraising team and the top 3 fundraising individuals.
