| This holiday season give the best gift of all - the gift of learning. Latinitas is a non-profit organization that empowers Hispanic girls to succeed through media and technology. We achieve this goal by publishing a bilingual magazine by and for Hispanic girls focused on providing success-themed empowerment articles. We further help girls achieve their potential through after-school programs, workshops, conferences, and camps that teach girls how to create their own media while building academic and professional skills for the future. Guided by role models in the media profession, girls learn how to creatively express themselves while building self-esteem and confidence.
We hope you will support our efforts to inspire girls by joining our Annual Campaign. It is a policy of the Latinitas that no one be denied admission to our clubs, camps, and workshops for economic reasons. Latinitas’ scholarship program opens our doors to girls who would not be able to afford to participate in our programs otherwise. The majority of our programs are free of cost to girls and all our programs are offered at a discounted rate. We’ve set a goal for ourselves to provide more free and subsidized admissions to girls from economically challenged families this year. Our scholarship program must continue to expand to meet the community’s needs. Many of the girls we reach are considered at-risk and our outreach projects focus on empowering them to realize their potential. Please help us connect more Latina youth with the outlets that ensure their academic and professional success. All donations to Latinitas are tax-deductible. |
