Trinity Church of Northborough and First Church of Sterling!
We are 39 people who will be going on a mission trip to La Romana, Dominican Republic mission trip from March 1-9, 2008. We're a mix of adults and students, first timers and seasoned veterans, from all over central Massachusetts.
We will be working in two teams; medical and construction. The teams will run clinics in the barrios of La Romana and in the sugar cane bateys (villages); construction workers will continue work on building the Good Samaritan Hospital for the Haitian/Dominican poor.
Each participant is responsible for the overall cost of the trip (airfare, room and board), however, each person needs to raise at least $200 additional for construction materials, buses, medicines, translators, etc. We hope to raise $10,000 in support of the people of La Romana.
