The mission of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America is to cure these diseases and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by them.
It was a rough time for me dealing with my ulcerative colitis. Along with that, though, some good things have come from it all. I've met many wonderful people through CCFA. I’ve enjoyed time with a youth group, gone to Camp Oasis, participated in Bowlin' for the Colon, attended Laughter and Medicine as well as other education events sponsored by CCFA and of course joined Team Challenge! Huge strides have been made by CCFA in helping patients and their families in dealing with Irritable Bowel Diseases. I do not want to let my illness define who I am. It would be great to see a day without Crohn’s and Colitis!
