| The BackStoppers Inc. is an organization that cares for the families of police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty in the St. Louis area. The BackStoppers provides financial assistance to the families left behind. The number of police officers and firefighters killed in St. Louis in 2008 was astounding and we want to show the BackStoppers Inc. how much we appreciate what they do for the families left behind.
By donating to the 2009 Saint Michael's Day Dash you will help us meet our goal of raising $50,000 for the BackStoppers Inc. and you will show the families left behind that you support them.
Remember the purpose of 2009 Saint Michael's Day Dash is to honor and memorialize Maplewood Firefighter Ryan Hummert and University City Police Sergeant Mike King. What an honor it would be for us, the organizers of the Saint Michael's Day Dash, to be able to give the Backstoppers $50,000 in memory of these two heroes. Help us meet our goal. Get a team together to remember these two heros, run the 5k, and raise money for this awsome organization that reminds us to never forget those who have made the ultimate sacrafice and the families left behind. |
