| Our Teen Cancer Challenge program is raising funds to bring a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic to The Centers for Children in Lowell, a clinic of Arkansas Children's Hospital. This clinic will allow children in northwest Arkansas to receive chemotherapy treatment, blood work, and follow-up care at the Lowell clinic instead of traveling to Little Rock for these services.
“It is our goal to bring quality, pediatric cancer care close to home,” says Tina Waggener, Executive Director of The Cancer Challenge. “Kids may receive chemotherapy every day, every week, or every month. Having a local cancer clinic could eliminate the need for an inpatient stay, reduce hospital costs, and allow children to return to home or school more quickly. And, these children will have the priceless support of their families and friends close by.”
The Cancer Challenge has committed to raising $25,000 for the clinic along with an anonymous match by a local donor. Please help us bring pediatric cancer care close to home” by making a donation online. A minimum donation of $10 is requested and can be made with a credit card. All donations are 100% tax deductible.>P>
