| At-risk elementary age children exist as one of the largest, yet grossly underserved groups of hurting people in our country. In every city, neighborhood, and school sit a large group of chidren who are, in the words of one principal, "like overdrawn emotional checkbooks." An estimated 8.5 million young people lack guidance and support from parents and others needed to prepare them to become well-adjusted, contributing members of society.
KIDS HOPE USA delivers a mentoring model that mobilizes and empowers volunteers from local churches to engage in meaningful and effective relationships with children at nearby public elementary schools.
KIDS HOPE USA evaluates our efficiency through the total organization cost per child reached. This year that cost stands at $122/child, an 8 percent improvement (lower) over last year. Please consider a gift to KHUSA that will bring fresh voices and life-giving relationships to our nation's most vulnerable children. |
