| Keep Tri-ing for Sole |
|
| Welcome to the Girls With Sole fundraising page! This page has been used for multiple events, and on-going fundraising for our programs. We are thrilled that you are here, and that you would like to support our girls, and our swimmers, in the 2ND ANNUAL GWS SWIM-A-THON 2012! We couldn't do it without you- or without the efforts of Harlan Radford, Jr., our event organizer!
Many people think of Salmon when they think of swimming upstream. However, because the Girls With Sole organization, our programs, and the kids that we serve are incredibly unique and unparalleled, we like to think in terms of a much more distinctive and rare fish: the Japanese Koi.
The Koi must swim many miles upstream to reach food or a spawning ground.
In Japanese culture it represents PERSEVERANCE IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY, THE ABILITY TO ATTAIN HIGH GOALS, AND, STRENGTH OF PURPOSE AND CHARACTER.
You don't have to swim that many miles, or do it upstream, to help our girls realize that they can make it....as long as they Keep Tri-ing!
THANK YOU for donating, or swimming, or both! |
