In Memory of Scott Farman
Celebrate Life: Sharing Scott's vision to make change in the world!
Scott Farman and Sister Tonia Top of the world in Glacier National Park.
Scott was diagnosed with Leukemia in May 2006 and was treated at Children's Hospital in Seattle for 16 months. He was in remission and attending college in Boston when his Leukemia relapsed in March, bringing him back to Seattle for treatment.

Scott was a passionate artist and outdoorsman and aspired to be a journalist. The last year of Scott's life was a period of great creativity, especially in his spiritual and artistic paths. He integrated insights from his life and illness into his art and spirituality, making both into expressions of compassion and advocacy for change in the world.

During Scott's treament he participated in a new research study for treating leukemia. This study while increasing his chances, would involve the most intense chemotherapy he would experience throughout his disease and would be very hard on his body and quality of life. Scott volunteered and was excited in doing it, so that he could give his love and contribute to the research that would help so many others fighting this disease.

Scott saw so much good and love in the world and wanted to help effect change. Scott's rich soul will move on through all of us: helping each other and sharing the love, each of us making small gestures to change and save the world someday.

Kiteboarding 4 Cancer was founded during the months of Scott's treatment when we felt helpless and asked 'What can we do?'. Cancer is something for which there is no easy cure. The only way to really help is to contribute to the ongoing research.

Please help us continue Scott's vision to help effect change in the world, share the love and help others who are still fighting!!

Funds raised in Scott's honor will be used to seed the efforts of KB4C to put on events and facilitate the efforts of many to carry on Scott's vision to effect change in the world.

Even if you can only spare $1.. we'd love to see your name on the board!!

All donors in Scott's honor will receive 'Thank You' cards from Scott that he painted during his treatment, for all of those who sent their love and support while Scott was in the hospital.
