| Jon Wilhite is the third generation of Manhattan Beach’s Wilhite family to contribute his time, experience and strength of character to making Manhattan Beach Little League and our local community what it continues to be. Now Jon needs our help, as he and the Wilhite family embark on the long road back from critical injuries he suffered as a result of an automobile crash caused by a drunk driver that claimed the lives of three of his friends, including MBLL and Manhattan Beach’s own, Henry Pearson.
Jon’s grandfather managed sons Paul, Jerry and Tony in the old Premier Little League; and they, in turn, managed and coached in MBLL including several successful All-Star teams. Jon played in MBLL and on their All-Star teams before a successful career at Mira Costa High School and perennial college baseball powerhouse, Cal State-Fullerton. He helped Fullerton to three trips to the College World Series and a National Title in 2004, returning to MBLL this season as a Coach in our Juniors Program and Private sessions with many MBLL Players and select teams.
