|Happy New Year! On behalf of the JMU Triathlon Team thank you for visiting our site today. We are proud to announce that we have qualified to send fourteen of our top athletes to compete at the USA Triathlon National Collegiate Championship in Tempe, AZ in April 2013. While this is a great honor it comes with costs. As many of you know, this sport is expensive. Sending fourteen college athletes, and their equipment cross country has proven to be an undertaking for our team. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and alumni today to consider any donation to help fund this trip.
Our club operates year round and our expenses are not limited to race season. Along with Nationals, we will be competing in two other races this spring and must allocate funds throughout our fifty-five athlete membership. Your support today will help fourteen eager, budding athletes have a one-of-a-kind racing experience, competing against triathlon teams across the nation. Additionally, this donation will allow the remainder of the team to race locally and become stronger in the sport.
Below are listed some of our highlights from the past year of racing, as well as specifics regarding costs of our trip to Arizona. Any donation helps, and as seen below, our goal is to raise $7,000 for the upcoming season. We appreciate your support in advance and look forward to reporting back on the successes of the season!
