More than 350 teens are emancipated from the Orange County Foster Care system each year as they turn 18. The JLOCC’s Bear Hugs project provides some of life’s basic necessities (sleeping bag, duffel bag, toiletries, calling card, postage, stationery) to the emancipating Bear Hugs project volunteers collect donations and supplies throughout the year, and then assemble duffel bags for the emancipating youth.
