Britt Ingvertsen-Snyder and Carynne Pierzchalski's Fundraising Page
Two ordinary women running for an extraordinary cause
Bradley Road Race- 10k
Friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and anyone else out there - welcome to our page! Not only are we doing this half marathon and raising funds to help those with Crohn's and ulcerative colitis, but we are also running in honor of 10-year old Piper who was diagnosed 2 years ago as well as for the sister-in-law of a dear friend. Katie is a 32 year old mother of 2, and a die hard Yankees fan (yes, we forgive her lol) who undergoes IV treatments every 6 weeks. Diagnosed at 19, she's been through so much and if we can help her in any way, well, that's why we are here. Carynne also has IBD while Britt has bile induced colitis and life without all it's complications would be wonderful! We are willing to go the extra miles (13.1 to be exact) and raise funds along the way. Together we will find a cure and until that day, we will be hitting the road. With your help we are closer to a cure, 1 mile at a time! Thank you so much for all your generous donations, you are truly appreciated and we are truly blessed. 4/21/14 We did it - we finished the Bradley Road Race 10k this past Saturday. Our legs are sore, but our spirits are SO high! We are very much looking forward to the half!!! Bring it!!! LOL after I (Carynne) get some new sneakers that is =P

About Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects an estimated 1.4 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.

About CCFA
Since our founding over four decades ago, CCFA has remained at the forefront of research in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Today, we fund cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurture investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finance underdeveloped areas of research. In addition, our educational workshops and programs, along with our scientific journal, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, enable medical professionals to keep pace with this rapidly growing field.
