| The purpose of the Downtown Clinic is to provide free professional non-emergent primary acute and chronic care to persons without the financial resources to access medical care. In order to assist them in achieving and maintaining their physical, emotional and social health we seek to serve as an entry point to the social and health care systems. We believe there are many persons in our community who do not seek medical attention when it is needed because of financial issues. We believe that health care is a right deserved by all, regardless of financial status. We believe this clinic will benefit the entire community, since healthy people are more likely to be productive and satisfied with life.
