In March 2008 my son Jacob was diagnosed with ITP. After months of steriods and IVIG treatments, twice weekly blood draws, and many visits to both the pediatrician and Shands. Jacobs platelet count continues to drop back down after every treatment. Lets race for a cure so these kids can stop being human pin cushions and act and play and jump like normal little kids. Lets make a difference! **update** Jacobs platelet counts have now been within the normal range since September 2008. ** Thank you for your continued support for all the other children still battling this rare condition!
