| Hi family and friends,
Knee is healed so I'm heading to NYC to compete in the Nautica NYC Tri tomorrow. If all goes well I will compete in the Hyannis Sprint, Westchester Tri and ITPMAN this season so please make a donation to the ITP Foundation.
Maria had ITP when she was an infant.
ITP is a rare immune blood disorder. Not having enough platelets is unhealthy.
Platelets help stop bleeding and heal bruises.
Luckily, Maria had an acute case that had been caused by contracting mononucleosis. During the time that she was being treated Bob and I saw other children who were not as fortunate. Most who have ITP will never experience a sport or any physical activity, that has been such an important part of Maria's life.
Making a contribution will not only help me reach my goal but more importantly will raise money for the ITP foundation.
