| My oldest son Grayson was diagnosed with acute ITP in April 2005. At that time he recovered but we knew many children go on to deal daily with low platelets. As a trained researcher and academic myself, it was hard to understand how ITP can truly be individual and therefore hard to predict and at times treat. Three and a half years later, Grayson was again showing signs of low platelets and we have just recently been told he is suffering from a rare recurrence of acute ITP. We do not yet know if he will become chronic in dealing with the ups and downs of platelet levels. I want to help raise awareness and money of this bleeding disorder. Please help me do that for Grayson and other kids like him. |
