Run for the Money
Since I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2001 and have been dependent on injected insulin since 2002, I know first hand the benefits of vigorous exercise in controlling the affects of diabetes. I also know how it inspires and motivates me to be proactive in managing my diabetes and overcoming the fear that I would be condemned to a life of restrictions and passivity. That’s a feeling and a lifestyle worth sharing. Please support of Team Insulindependence with a tax-deductible donation. The team has set a fundraising goal of $10,000 to support the 2009 IronKiDz project, which pairs type 1 diabetic children with a diabetic mentor competing in next year’s Arizona Ironman Triathlon.

Funds raised on behalf of Insulindependence will benefit our efforts to bring hope, health, and happiness to people with diabetes through inspiration, education, and exploration.
